I'm making empanadas

I'm going to a Spanish dinner party tonight with my friends Dan and Hedda (like "Heather" but a little gheto). I'm going to bring banana-black bean empanadas, which seems a little risky cause I've never made them before. But I do love mixing fruit with my food and is the name is such a nice use of alliteration. Luckily, Dan is bringing both wine and his guitar, on which he will play Spanish music, so if the empanadas suck, I'm covered.
